Final Project
Printing these were such a hassle :0! Too purple, smudges, too dark, streaking lines, weird ink pools... you name it and I ran into it.

Another Comp
Not entirely sure what is due for class I just assumed it was fix whatever Owen told us to during the critique...so I touched up my piece that was selected for the final... @_@ good enough? I don't knoooooow~ Also got a new printer yay~ although this one prints lighter than whats on my monitor which is odd, I've only ever had printer that print darker than what I wanted.

Thumbnails for Briar Rose
So I wasn't sure if the thumbnails we were doing were of forests of just whatever we thought of while reading. I couldn't really think of much while reading it but after finding reference images my brain is just overwhelmed by ideas and different flowers and trees to use~ sooo many pretty colors and flowers!

So confused
I'm always so confused when these are due...and which sketch picture we're supposed to do. Apparently the one I thought that was due last week is due tomorrow? I have no idea. Anyway here are the two speed paints and 10 trees. This time I tried pencil and a way Inga told me to do trees and I'm not even sure its better than my ink trees but its way smudgier and messy. I think I'll stick with ink, I like the contour style better and its much cleaner. Also these are tree sketches...when I think sketches I'm thinking like 5~15 min but some people are spending like 40 on them @_@ what is a good time spent on a tree?

Chinese Elm
Guh well after two weeks working on this and all the frustration with the bark and leaves, it's done, printed and ready for class. There are definitely things I could fix but overall I'm happy and felt like I could do much more faster than I could with my pine cone so that's good right?

Speed Paint 4
Leaves, leaves everywhere! Just gestured and squiggled my way through all the leaves instead of psyching myself out @_@. Also hopefully this is the correct one to do... >_<

Digital Pinecone
So here is my first ever digital painting. Things could still be improved but overall this is better than what I thought I could do in photoshop so I'm pretty happy with that. I spent a lot of time fixing and adding in scales that I messed up or missed in the graphite rendering and I think it looks fuller now.

Sketchbook 1
Sooo this is the first time I've done digital painting :D it was quite fun although I was stumbling here and there trying to figure out stuff like syncing my pen and opacity to pressure and what not. Did not manage to finish the whole thing in an hour D: I got too caught up in trying to make the foreground and fiddling around with the settings. I figure this will be like Inga's thing where we get to the point where we do enough of these and learn technique that we can get a lot more done in an hour.
:P and now that I look at them side for side i definitely need more contrast~!
